A common theme throughout my work is expressing the Kingdom of Heaven through modern-day parables and visual storytelling. When Jesus describes the Kingdom of Heaven, He likens it to familiar elements — like a net, a field, a mustard seed—that listeners can visualize in order to understand. The parables are visual representations of unseen truth and I believe that’s essentially what all art is.
This idea is at the heart of We Are Parable, to not only express these parables but to embody them.
As a bi-lingual artist, I often use both Spanish and English to verbally communicate. I also found I needed multiple forms of visual language to fully express my ideas and so I’ve never confined myself to just one medium and am constantly curious to experiment with more.
